Now, I've never had PS myself, but I think after a while, even if u still have plus, the games become unplayable after a certain period of time.
Like, LBP2 isn't available for free anymore, I don't think.

After doing so I was prompted to update the game, downloading about 7(IIRC) patches.
Every time I try to update the game it usually gives me an error at patch #3-4 and quits the game. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think it may have something to do with you getting it free.
